Joe Duffy is Founder/CEO of Pulumi, a Seattle startup democratizing the cloud by way of “cloud engineering,” a new way of building software that radically embraces the cloud. Before Pulumi, Joe led developer strategy at Microsoft, and ran its languages, compilers, and tools teams. He helped create an open source culture, initiated the effort to bring .NET to many platforms, and built a distributed operating system’s programming language and developer platform. Joe has been doing software for 25 years, enjoys building amazing and innovative teams, and still loves to code as much as he can. Joe lives in Whidbey Island, WA, with his wife, Kim, and slightly neurotic but lovable pug, Percy.
